Account Registration & Verification

1. Signing Up

  • Navigate to the Sign Up page.
  • Select "Official Entity" as the account type.
  • Fill in your official entity name, email address, and a secure password. The email address must use your official domain (e.g., @gov.in, @your-organization.org). Public domains like @gmail.com are not permitted for entity accounts.
  • Complete the optional fields for phone number and address to help with verification.

2. Verification Process

  • After submitting the registration form, your account will be placed in a "Pending Verification" state.
  • Our administrators will review your submission. This may involve cross-referencing public records to ensure authenticity.
  • You will be unable to log in until your account is approved. Once approved, you will receive a notification and can access your entity dashboard.

Responding to Petitions

Viewing Petitions Addressed to You

  • You will see a tab labeled Petitions for You. This tab lists all active petitions on the platform that have named your entity as a target.

Printing Official Reports

  • Navigate to the page of a petition that targets your entity.
  • On the petition page, you will see a button labeled Print Report.
  • Clicking this button generates a detailed, printable document containing the petition's details, all signatory information (including their last known IP and location for verification), and a verification stamp from PUBLIC.VOTE.
  • This report can be used for official records and to demonstrate the public support for the petition.
